One Koshi Earth Symphony chime of your choice with the Lotus Flower chime stand. The Earth Symphony collection comprises four chimes inspired by the great presences of Nature: Mountain, Forest, River and Ocean. Handcrafted and hand-tuned in the Koshi workshop at the foot of the French Pyrenees, tuned with reference to 440 Hz, with twelve rods instead of the eight found on the original Koshi 4 Elements chimes. Resonance chamber in European fine wood: walnut, oak, cherry or maple.
The Lotus Flower chime stand is a hand-turned stand in solid beech, made in Germany. The milled lotus flower in the base plate makes it a decorative highlight. It is designed for a single Koshi chime.

How to play your Koshi Earth Symphony on the stand
Assembly: the wooden rod simply slots into the base plate and the chime hangs from its end.
Basic playing: hold the chime by its cord and let it hang freely. A gentle turn of the wrist sets the clapper in motion and releases a cascade of notes. The wider the movement, the more rods sound. A slow pendulum swing plays individual notes.
Sound healing and sound massage: both hands stay free for working with singing bowls, while the chime hangs within reach on the stand and can be sounded at any moment.
Meditation: place the stand with its chime at your meditation spot. Open and close a meditation with the Koshi chime.
Garden and terrace: place the stand on the balcony or terrace. Bring it inside when it rains to protect the wood.
Recording and musical use: tuned to 440 Hz, the chime accompanies other instruments and voices without retuning.
At a glance: Chime: 12 steel rods, hand-tuned to 440 Hz, resonance chamber in European fine wood (walnut, oak, cherry or maple), brass and coconut shell clapper, approx. 16 x 6.3 cm (6.3 x 2.5 in), 35.5 cm (14 in) with cord, approx. 145 g (5.1 oz), plastic-free, handcrafted in France. Frequently asked questions
What is included in this set?
One Koshi Earth Symphony chime of your choice (Mountain, Forest, River or Ocean) in the original Koshi box and one Lotus Flower chime stand in solid beech.
Which Earth Symphony chime suits me?
Mountain in walnut, in E major, sounds broad, grounded and contemplative. Forest in oak, in F# minor, sounds deep and dense. River in cherry, in G# minor, sounds fluid, bright and luminous. Ocean in maple, in pentatonic B major, sounds vast, deep and enveloping.
What makes Earth Symphony different from the original Koshi Terra, Aqua, Aria and Ignis?
The 4 Elements chimes have eight rods, a resonance chamber in bamboo veneer and are tuned to an adapted 432 Hz. The Earth Symphony chimes have twelve rods, four of them doubled as resonators, a resonance chamber in European fine wood (walnut, oak, cherry or maple) and are tuned to 440 Hz. The result is a broader, deeper sound that resonates for longer.
How is the stand assembled?
The wooden rod simply slots into the base plate and the chime hangs from its end.
Can the stand be placed outdoors?
Yes, for example on the balcony or terrace. Bring it inside when it rains to protect the wood.

Yes. The chime is used to open and close meditations, in sound baths, in sound yoga and in sound therapy alongside singing bowls and gongs. On the stand it hangs within easy reach and both hands stay free.
Where are the chime and the stand made?
Every Koshi chime is handcrafted and hand-tuned in the Koshi workshop at the foot of the Pyrenees in France. The Lotus Flower stand is hand-turned from solid beech in a master woodturning workshop in Germany. Gaia Chimes sells only original Koshi Chimes sourced in France.
